At Virginia Early Learning Academies, we believe every child has exceptional gifts and talents within…and the strongest learning environments exist to creatively coax and develop those to their fullest potential. Toward that end, we focus on interactive, hands-on learning for children to reveal, strengthen, and nurture the very best they have to offer. With 1:1 teacher interaction, small group time, strong parent/caregiver partnerships, and myriad personal touches, Virginia Early Learning Academies is where creativity, collaboration, and quality care abound. Additionally, specialized STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) offerings—including STEM Academy at Ashburn and STEM Enrichments at Ashburn and Sterling—employ a standards-aligned STEM curriculum specially designed to benefit three- to five-year-old students.
Exceeding early learning standards for quality education, Virginia Early Learning Academies focuses on the basic pillars of education so families can trust their children are being taught the core competencies and STEM curriculum that will serve them well throughout their lifetimes. Research repeatedly shows that high-quality early childhood education prepares young minds for kindergarten and all the years beyond. This can happen only with the most dedicated educators and professionals, deep family engagement and trust, and an unwavering commitment like Virginia Early Learning Academies toward developing the whole child: body (growth, nutrition, activity); mind (coursework, learning, writing); and spirit (support, socialization, trust).

🎨📚 Sterling ELA Signature Programs are in full swing! 📚🎨
Our students have been diving into this month’s featured artist and authors through hands-on learning experiences that spark creativity, imagination, and discovery!
🖌️ Artist of the Month: Wassily Kandinsky
Children explored Kandinsky’s love of circles through a fun recycled art activity, using circular materials to create their own unique circle paintings. This creative experience helped strengthen fine motor skills while encouraging self-expression and imaginative thinking.
🐱 Authors of the Month: Eric Litwin & James Dean
Students were introduced to Eric Litwin and illustrator James Dean, creators of the beloved Pete the Cat series! They learned that Pete was inspired by James Dean’s real-life black cat and discovered why the famous feline was illustrated in blue. The children loved learning the story behind one of their favorite book characters!
At Sterling ELA, learning comes alive through art, literacy, creativity, and exploration every day! 💙✨ ... See MoreSee Less

Yesterday for International Museum Day our Preschool class at Ashburn Early Learning Academy created a diorama of a museum that includes the four phases of the moon, a statue of a planet, furniture for the museum and a chosen museum name.
While creating our museums, the children also discussed the importance of museums by focusing on the idea that museums allow EVERYONE to learn about interesting things .
Museums allow us to learn new things in all different learning styles. They keep us educated and informed, which allows us to create sympathy, compassion and understanding towards different and multiple ideas. From Ms. Grace’s class t yours, Happy Museum Day!! ... See MoreSee Less
